life in Leeds

Hi
I have an opportunity to start a job in Leeds. The problem is that I have never been there and don't know what to expect from the city.
Currently I live in Italy and previously I lived in London and Edinburgh. I like the buzz and vibe of the big city.
I would appreciate if anybody could give me their thoughts for Leeds.
